i think i might be able to mail most of the packages at regular media mail rates.
rate chart here
this definantly looks like the cheapest route. any objections?
you can figure your rates by multiplying the # of skeins you ordered by 3.5 ounces.

I don't think you can use media mail for the yarn since it doesn't contain any books or videos. You might want to check with the P.O. Media mail is the cheapest, but they are pretty strict about what it consists of.
I'm more interested in assured delivery than I am in the cheapest shipping. As long as there's a tracking number, I'm ok with however it's shipped.
Robyn is right. You cannot ship media mail unless it contains "books, film, manuscripts, sound recordings, video tapes, or computer media". In our case I think the possibilities are - PARCEL POST (cheap for even heavy orders but slow), FIRST CLASS (cheap but order should be less than 13 ounces, fast enough), PRIORITY/PRIORITY FLAT RATE (in 2-3 days, use flat rate if over 3 lbs).
Delivery confirmation and insurance can be attached to any of the above services if required.
Jeanie, if you have a list of people with their order details (# of skeins) I can help you with shipping details for each order. PM or email me if you need a hand :)
